XO Magazine began as an idea of mine to take the existing Xero blog and divide its content between its two main audiences: die hard Xero fans (who loved news about Xero) and everyone else (people who were likely to be interested in content that wasn't specifically about Xero). XO Magazine was meant to cater to this second group. I worked on this in unison with two other designers (Allan Mansfield and Kiran Matthews) and together we produced many different variations before the project was shelved.
Articles in the online magazine would be published in bundles, four times a year, with each "issue" having a central theme, like Marketing. All the content would be matched with custom photography and even video. We were terribly proud of having come up with this whole concept, and the beautiful designs as well, and were sad to let it go.
